Nashville, Tenn., January 17, 2017 – Officials with Gen Cap America, Inc. announced today the company has partnered with management in an acquisition of Gared Holdings, LLC, a company based in Noblesville, Ind., that operates under the Gared Sports, Performance Sports Systems and Gared International brand names. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Gared is a leading manufacturer and marketer of athletic equipment and custom design solutions to schools and other institutions. Products include equipment for basketball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, futsal, handball, field hockey, lacrosse, netball, baseball, football and others. The company also manufactures indoor and outdoor custom bleachers and benches, and markets a full line of privately branded shot clocks and scoreboards.
The Gared management team, led by CEO Kevin Needler, will stay on to run the company’s daily operations.
