Nashville, Tenn., August 5, 2021 – Gen Cap America, Inc. (“Gen Cap”), a private equity firm focused on lower middle market buyouts, announced today that it has sold L.W. Allen, Inc. (“L.W. Allen”) to SJE, Inc. (“SJE”), a portfolio company of Audax Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

L.W. Allen designs, manufactures, distributes and installs water and wastewater control systems and treatment pump systems to municipal and industrial customers. The company’s electrical control solutions, marketed under the Altronex brand name, provide the hardware, software and services used by operators to control water and wastewater systems. L.W. Allen was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.
