Nashville, Tenn., October 27, 2015 – Gen Cap America, Inc., a leader in the middle market buyout niche in the Southeast, announced today its most recent acquisition, L.W. Allen, Inc., based in Madison, Wisconsin. The acquisition is being funded by Gen Cap America’s Southvest Fund VI, which closed in March 2009 after raising $160 million.

Founded in 1961, L.W. Allen manufactures water and wastewater control systems and distributes industrial and heavy-duty pumps to municipal and industrial customers.  The company’s electrical control solutions, marketed under the Altronex brand name, provide the hardware, software and services used by operators to control water and wastewater systems.  The company also designs, distributes, installs and services water and wastewater treatment pump systems.

The acquisition was completed on October 16 and represents the 16th acquisition in the Southvest Fund VI portfolio.

Jim Cook, president of L.W. Allen, along with the current management team will continue to oversee daily operations of the company.
